The Australian Cattle Dog was originally bred to work cattle in the rough inland terrain of Australia. Their sturdy, compact, well-muscled bodies make them powerful and agile. They are loyal, protective, alert and reliable, making them excellent pets, guard dogs, show dogs or herding dogs.
These dogs need to be part of the action! Cattle dogs have incredible stamina and will enjoy all the activity you can give them. Their natural talents include retrieving, herding, guarding, competitive obedience and performing tricks. A1 Australian Cattle Dogs are bred for a calm temperament.
Cattle Dogs have a life expectancy of about 12-15 years. Firm training from the start and lot of daily attention will produce a fine and happy pet.
